Creating Accpac “buy in” across your business.


You’ve made the decision to purchase and implement Sage Accpac ERP, are there any other potential challenges left to navigate?  

Once you physically install Sage Accpac ERP you have reached a critical stage in the adoption of your new software by employees, and you need to create employee “buy in” to ensure that the Sage Accpac is being adopted and used efficiently across your organization.  

Inertia can prevent the true benefits of your software being realized quickly. You will need to ensure that employees are at ease with the new Sage Accpac software and that they are properly trained on how to use it effectively. Employees can add very valuable insight into the end solution, you should also consider employees opinions on Sage Accpac functionality.  

Preparing your employees for the implementation of your new Sage Accpac Solution and providing them with the appropriate time to process the new changes is essential. You need to champion the changes and enthuse employees about the benefits they should expect from their new software, before the software is implemented. This could be done during a company meeting, staff meeting, or in any form of open discussion session with employees. Open discussion with your employees not only allows you to collect useful information about the functionality required from the software and further refine your solution and business processes, it also helps employees voice any concerns or make suggestions, and creates a sense of company ownership over the new software. Present employees with what you want to achieve with the new software, you can compare old processes that hindered their day-to-day efficiency (i.e. paper trails) vs. the new automated processes that Sage Accpac will instill across the organization, making their job easier.  

Educating employees through software training is an important step in introducing them to the software, letting them experience the software and allowing them to use the software in a controlled environment. The more an employee uses the software the more they take ownership and ‘buy in’ to the software. Your Sage Accpac ERP solution partner is the best person to discuss your companies training needs.
